John Morgan Baritone
John Morgan is firmly established as one of Britain´s most distinguished baritones, with a highly successful international career. As a vastly experienced performer and renowned for his “big, strong, dark-timbred” voice and great acting skills, he performs regularly at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and as a Principal for National Opera Houses in the UK and many other opera houses around the world.
BiographyJohn´s international career began after his success as a European Finalist in the Luciano Pavarotti Voice Competition in Modena and the International Verdi Competition in Busetto. On the recommendation of rhe renowned Italian baritone, Renato Bruson, he studied in Italy with Maestro Ettore Campogalliani and this led to numerous concert engagements in Italy and throughout Europe and a flourishing career in opera.
PressToday, John´s worldwide reputation produces a busy schedule with an impressive and diverse range of performances, which include major opera roles, oratorio, concerts with orchestra and solo recitals. He also has a London teaching practice and is building up a reputation for his Masterclasses. As one of the UK’s few remaining Verdi Baritones who have been influenced by Maestro Campogalliani, he now passes on this unique training and experience to his students by specialising in the art of bel canto singing.
